CRS score drops by one point in the second draw for July

IRCC has issued 3750 invitations to apply for Canadian Permanent Residence in second express entry draw for the month of July. The CRS cut off score was 441. The score cut off for the last express entry draw on 11th July was 442. The drop is attributed to back-to-back draw in a period of 14 days.

The tie-break date and time in this draw was December 31, 2017 which means that candidates with the score of and above 441 have received ITA. However, this is the fourth consecutive draw to issue 3,750 ITAs which brings the total number of ITAs issued for the month of July to 7,500.

Express Entry is the application system that manages Canada’s three main economic immigration class- Federal Skilled Work, Federal Skilled Trades class and Canadian Experience class.

Till now, IRCC has issued 47,200 ITAs but it is still lagging behind compared to last year’s total ITAs given at this time. Its target for 2018 and 2019 are 74,900 and 81,400 immigrants respectively.
