The Express Entry draw held on 25th June issued invitations for people with CRS score of 442 and above. This is the 12th draw for the year 2018 wherein 3,750 candidates were issued Invitations To Apply or ITAs. It is also the second draw this year, to record high number of ITAs to be issued.
The previous cut off score was 451. The short span between the two consecutive draws (11 days) and the large draw size contributed to the score going down – almost nine points lower. The IRCC used its tie-break rule for candidates who applied for this latest invitation round on 28th January 2018 which means people who have scored 442 and above, qualify to be issued.
Including this recent 12th draw, IRCC has issued only 39,700 ITAs. The target for immigration has increased for the year 2019 to 81,400 and remains 74,900 for this year of 2018 which means that IRCC still has a lot of roads to cover so as to achieve its goals in the next six months.
