September 5th Express Entry Draw saw an issuing of 3,900 IOT for PR.

September 5th, witnessed the Largest Express Entry draw of 2018 held by the Government of Canada. This Express Entry issued 3,900 invitations for applications regarding Canadian Permanent Residency.

Showcasing the lowest Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score of 440, it is the fourth all -program draw with the lowest CRS score in 2018.

The Deadline tiebreaking date and time for this draw was April 29th 2018 at 14:28:34 UTC. Candidates with the CRS Score of 440 andabove successfully submitted their applications prior to the deadline received the ITA (Invitation to Apply) in the invitation round.

The ranking of the Candidates is in accordance to their CRS score and hence those candidates receiving the highest rank are issued an ITA through the process of Invitation rounds.

The current draw successfully broke the stagnant trend of issuing 3,750 ITAs which was established on June 13th by the Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) which further determined the ITAs of the 6 draws. In 2018, IRCC issued a particular set of ITAs over the span of the draws while steadily raised the number of issued ITAs by slow increments of 250 or 500. The standard beginning draw size observed at the beginning of 2018 was 2,750 ITAs and has increased to the current size of 3,900 ITAs.

The regular pacing of these draws since June 13th, has played a monumental role in the prevention of the CRS score crossing 440 as well as keeping it steady at that rate.

Express Entry candidates can avail of the Provincial Nomination which results in an addition of 600 CRS points to improve their score.

Statistics bring to light the fact that IRCC has issued 58,600 ITA’s over the first 18 draws of 2018.Hence, bringing to focus that, it is ahead of a small margin from the 57,751 ITAs which were issued in the first 18 draws of the previous year of 2017. However, careful analysis of the statistics will show that by this particular point in September 2017 IRCC had successfully issued 63,777 ITAs, which highlights a back rate of 5,177 ITAs by the IRCC in the current year. The previous year saw a significant total of 86,023 ITAs. If one follows Canada’s admission targets for the years 2018-2019, it is quite possible, that the total of the current year could surpass the total of ITAs issued in 2017.
